Convert Geopak Data to and from Autodesk® Civil 3D® using Autodesk Civil Engineering Data Translator

Even though the Autodesk Civil Engineering Data Translator was retired March 1, 2019 you can still install it and run it using the FDOT2020 Civil 3D State Kit. Why? Because it runs stand-alone as a client app to the online service that performs the conversions.

It is always a good idea to read the readme file with any application. This excerpt is from the translator’s readme.

The Autodesk® Civil Engineering Data Translator Client is a standalone application that is used to access the Autodesk Civil Engineering Data Translator server and services.  The Autodesk Civil Engineering Data Translator service translates Autodesk® Civil 3D® files to files that can be used in Bentley® GEOPAK® and Bentley® InRoads®, and to translate GEOPAK and InRoads files to files that can be used in Autodesk Civil 3D. The Civil Engineering Data Translator is a secure cloud service that is not dependent upon a specific version of Autodesk Civil 3D.

The online HELP info provides the details of what file types can be translated.
