FDOT Civil 3D 2017 State Kit Released Oct. 3, 2016

FDOT CADD Software – FDOT2017.C3D State Kit – (version 2017.00.00) is now available.

The release is a full install for a Stand-Alone Workstation running Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 with the Service Pack (SP1 Aug. 31, 2016, or later) applied.  This State Kit requires AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 to already be installed before the State Kit Installation.

Service Pack Reminder: Autodesk changed their method of releasing service packs.  Service packs for Civil 3D no longer include service packs for other products such as AutoCAD Map 3D and AutoCAD.  If there is a service pack for AutoCAD 2017 you must download and install that in addition to the Civil 3D service pack.  The Autodesk Desktop App installed with your software is one way to find service packs.

The other way to find service packs is to login to your Autodesk Account.  http://manage.autodesk.com Navigating your Autodesk Account to find the service packs is not easy. You may find this blog post helpful in that regard.

Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 V1 Enhancements released Sept. 6, 2016 (formerly known as Productivity Packs) has features you may find useful.  If you click on Product Enhancements link while logged into your Autodesk Account (see above paragraph) you may find this list is not current.  For instance Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 3 is available but not shown in this list. The link for Updates and Add-ons is a better place to look.   The Updates list and the Autodesk Desktop App do not sort the list of service packs and enhancements in a convenient manner so please look carefully and scroll the entire list to make sure you have not missed an important item.

The FDOT2017.C3D Installation package is available at:

Please download and read the Installation Guide BEFORE installing the State Kit.  If the above link is broken…this is why.

On Friday, October 7, 2016 (after 7:00 p.m.), the web address for the department’s internet website will change from www.dot.state.fl.us to www.fdot.gov. Notifications will be issued to business partners and the general public prior to initiating this change. The first notice will be distributed on September 9th and the second on October 3rd.
